Sunny Headingley a year ago
Ben Stokes gave us a day to remember, his moment of glory for my man C Fisher's wall, who is currently becoming quite handy himself with a bat.
The stick on top of the picture is for his shoe so he can re-enact our worship of Stokes that day. Full St. Crispins speech honours.

Emily Bronte The Night is Darkening Round Me - A Neon Pharmaceutical Buffet
Being keen on knitting and sowing, I have long been inspired by Peruvian mantles, the way they represented the dead in a floating pose. The last image shows my favourite mantle, I always look at it, all these dead people smiling, like they know something!

The Lowry
Coming from the Mill 1930 42 x 52 cm, in the end took 18 months, as I wanted to get the texture of the original.
I've always wanted to copy one of the mill scenes and doing one for a friend and avid Lowry appreciator has re-awakened my old love of oil painting.
Following Lowry's limited colours and layering of the paint until it becomes quite a crust was a great lesson, the original here shows how thick the paint became.
It dried a few weeks ago. It fitted in nicely with my passion for doing things that take a long time.
